As many of you know, Robin and I have suffered through a terrible year. We have both regained our balance, but during the rough stretch, our beloved practice has taken quite a financial hit, mostly because I was unable to come in during the first several weeks of chemo.
I am now back to almost full speed, but it is hard to make up for the losses.
The last thing Robin and I want is for the animals in our care to suffer. It is our philosophy, indeed, our core belief that no animal ever be turned away, a kind of “St. Jude” approach for your beloved fur children.
Some have asked what they can do to help.
Simply this: keep us here. The hospital has many bills; we need supplies and medicines, herbals, and x-ray film, surgical suture, and acupuncture needles, and even a small donation would help us immensely. With the help of our very valued and most devoted clients, you can help us regain our balance while making Dr. Dan’s Integrative Pet Hospital your hospital as well as ours.
We promise that every dollar will go to the animals, to keeping them healthy and making them well.
When the ship is finally righted, we plan many new things, such as a peaceful room for acupuncture and pre euthanasia. We want to expand our herbal remedies. Our computer system, having been installed during the Kennedy administration, is on its last legs.
We want to be here for you, but now we need you to be here for us and your fur children.
We cannot tell you how much to give; whatever you can.
It is with heavy hearts that we ask, but the situation is, indeed, dire.
Word of advice: Never have a heart attack, a leg amputated, and get metastatic colon cancer in the same year.
